Correx is versatile and easy to experiment with. One such experiment involved putting lights inside of a spare David in White. This resulted in me taking the idea further with this illuminated bust. The title Thea refers to the Greek Goddess of Light. This design was 3d modelled in Zbrush rather than a 3d scan. It shows a progression in my digital modelling that has learned a lot from the resources of Scan the World.

The fluting of the material means the light is directed in two opposite directions, working as a soft lamp light. The sculpture glows from the inside both in the dark and the light. This can be made to order as it is CNC cut in layers and then fixed together by hand. This way of creating sculpture also means the size can be easily changed to with a couple of millimeters.
