Transmute Era (Bismuth)

2017 - 3D printed PLA and bismuth

Bismuth is a silvery metal that can be melted on a stove. It is still hot enough to melt PLA but cools upon reaching the inside of the print. This experimentation resulted in a couple of unusual pieces in which the bismuth brings a unique quality to the prints.
