2016 - Cast iron and gold painted plaster

This hollowed out, rock-like bust and little gold figure play the part of a metaphor for the feelings I had when starting my degree. I transitioned from working 40 to 50 hour weeks as a welder to expressing my creativity and seeing what I was capable of. A small figure set against an unknown future and the endless opportunities of the human mind.
